What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in
not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to
make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC146496625: The City of Manchester
(Ten Acres Lane, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward)
(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025
under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The
effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ten Acres
Lane. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Ten Acres
Lane, Briscoe Lane, Culcheth Lane, Old Church Street,
Oldham Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfiedthat
this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate telecoms
tower delivery and crane berthing. It is expected that the
works will be in progress from the 16th November 2025 to
the 17th November 2025 between the hoursof 19:00 and
06:00. The order shall come into operation on the 16th
November 2025 and may remain in force for amaximum
period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are
completed within a shorter period, the Order shallcease
to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin
