What is happening?

(Centenary Way, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Centenary Way, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Thorpe Road Roundabout to the junction with Centenary Way Roundabout a distance of approximately 680m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th November 2025 for 2 nights (19:00–05:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP40066750719 – Persimmon Homes). The scheduled dates may vary for those works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works are undertaken by Persimmon Homes.
An alternative route is available via Thorpe Road, North Road, St Johns Road, Little Clacton Bypass, Progress Way, Centenary Way and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 6th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.11) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:

To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.

A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road, for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 6th November 2025 exact dates will be specified on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Brooklands Gardens, Jaywick (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Brooklands Gardens, Jaywick in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 120m north west of its junction with Brooklands for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110286785 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Brooklands Gardens, Lotus Way, Midway, Brooklands, Brooklands Gardens and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 23rd October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Newgate Street, Walton on the Naze (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Newgate Street, Walton on the Naze in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Station Street to its junction with The Parade a distance of approximately 90m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th November 2025 for 29 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX064NEWGATESTREET – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

New Pier Street, Walton on the Naze (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of New Pier Street, Walton on the Naze in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Station Street a distance of approximately 95m in south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th November 2025 for 29 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX064NEWPIERSTREET – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

Nightingale Close, Clacton On Sea (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Nightingale Close, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Nightingale Way to its end a distance of approximately 50m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th November 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411003WG0T2MBY – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for those works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
No alternative route is available.
