South Lakeland, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (HELM LANE, NATLAND AND HARDCRAGG LANE, GRANGE-OVER-SANDS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) Helm Lane, Natland, from its junction with Abbey Drive, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 430 metres. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Helm Lane, Burton Road (A65) and Oxenholme Lane.
Duration: From 17th November 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/16223)
(ii) Hardcragg Lane, Grange-Over-Sands, from a point approx. 55 meters north of its junction with Grange Fell Road, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 50 metres.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 17th November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
