Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 27 October 2025
Coming into force: 3 November
This Order is being introduced because of rectification of depth of hydrant covers which is anticipated to be completed 8 November 2025. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in that part of St Andrews Road at its junction with Larkins Lane (between 37 and 33 St Andrews Road). Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Osler Road, A420, B4495, Corpse Lane, Westlands Drive, Saxon Way, Dunstan Road, Osler Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
