Rayrigg Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (A592 RAYRIGG ROAD, WINDERMERE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the A592 Rayrigg Road, Windermere from its junction with the A591 Ambleside Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 60 metres.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the A591 Ambleside Road, Main Road, A5074 New Road, A5074 Lake Road and the unrestricted section of the A592.

The Order will come into operation on 17th November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
