Albion Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To HV Cable Diversion Works
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN
(ALBION STREET, BLACKBURN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to close Albion Street for the following extent: Opp 66 Livesey Branch Road to opp 7 Albion Street.
The closure is necessary for the following reasons: INSTALL AND JOINT CABLE FOR HV DIVERSIONS
The Order will come into force on 17th November 2025 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26th November 2025.
The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Livesey Branch Road, Langho Street, Slater Street and vice versa.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
