Lowestoft , Temporary Road Closures Due To Gas Mains Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A1117 Elm Tree Road And The C913 Long Road, Lowestoft
Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the following roads:
- the A1117 Elm Tree Road, Lowestoft in the following phases:
1. Northbound only from Long Road to Ashbumham Way
2. Northbound only from Ashburnham Way to
Clifford Drive
3. Northbound only from Clifford Drive to Elm Tree Road West.
- the C913 Long Road, Lowestoft from the junction Bloodmoor Road to the junction with Aldwyck Way.
This Is to facilitate gas mains replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- (for Elm Tree Road) the A1145, the A146, the A1117 and vice versa.
- (for Long Road) the A1117, the A12 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/11/2025 - 19/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to: TMO Highways Limited, Tel: (01379) 676462.
