Suffolk, Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1076 Northgate Street, Ipswich

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1076 Northgate Street, Ipswich from Carr Street to Great Coleman Street to facilitate a gas service disconnection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: Tacket Street, Bond Street. St Helens Street, Old Foundry Road, Great Coleman Street and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 31/10/2025 from 7:00pm – 11:59pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to: TMO Highways limited. Tel: (01379) 676462.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U5626 Swan Road, Worlingworth

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5626 Swan Road, Worlingworth from 20 metres north of the junction with Pipers Meadow for 30 metres northbound to facilitate a water meter replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: Tannington Road, Church Street, Church Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/11/2025 -14/11/2025 but. if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to: Core Highways Ltd. Tel: 0330 043 3030.

Temporary Closure And No Right Turn On Part Of The U8030 Old Hall Lane, Cockfield

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8030 Old Hall Lane, Cockfield from the junction with Bury Road for 10 metres eastbound to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the: A1141, Howe Lane, Chapel Road, Great Green, Bradfield Road, Bury Road, Ixer Lane, the A134, the A1141 and no vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will also be a no right turn provision on the

U8030 Old Hall Lane onto the A1141 Cross Green. It is intended that these measures will operate from 31/10/2025 - 10/11/2025 but. if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to: ABC Telecoms Ltd. Tel: 07498 904219.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C713 Ten Tree Road, Great Waldingfield

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C713 Ten Tree Road, Great Waldingfield from Heathfield to Homeleigh to facilitate works to an overhead structure to provide customer service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: Ten Tree Road, Waldingfield Road, the B1115 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 31/10/2025 from 9:30am – 3L30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to: Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C361 The Street And The C501 The Street, Harleston And Mendham

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

C361 The Street, Harleston

C501 The Street, Mendham from 240 metres west of Withersdale Road for 86 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate a bridge inspection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: Low Road, the B1116, the B1123. Mendham Road, Withersdale Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/11 /2025 from 8:00am – 5:00am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to: Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C611 Warren Road, Red Lodge

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C611 Warren Road, Red Lodge at the junction with Juniper Road for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: Warren Road, Herringswell Road, the B1506, the B1085, Turnpike Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/11/2025 from 8:00am – 5:00pm but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to: TBF Traffic, Tel: (01449) 490865.
