What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Old Vicarage
Lane, Monk Fryston, Order 2025, No. 378 We have made this Order to
prohibit any vehicle from using Old Vicarage Lane, Monk Fryston for a
temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 27/10/25 &
14/11/25, due to Northern Powergrid works to undertake a cable overlay.
However, the max duration of this Order is until 20/12/25. The closure period
will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on

40 Mph Speed Limit, Ryther Road, Cawood, Order 2025 Notice is hereby
given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under
Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of
Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on the length of road
specified below:- Ryther Road, Cawood, North westerly direction from the
existing 30mph speed limit for 480m. A copy of the draft Order, together with
a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for
proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton
& at Selby Library, 52 Micklegate, Selby, YO8 4EQ during normal office
hours from 23/10/25 until 14/11/25 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation- orders. If you wish to object to the
proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing
addressed to Area 7 Selby Highways Office, Canal Road, Selby, North
