Aspatria, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Level Crossing Maintenance Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 205010 IN THE PARISH OF ASPATRIA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable level crossing maintenance works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along an approx. 15m section of Public Footpath No. 205010 in the Parish of Aspatria, extending in a north westerly direction from a point where it meets the B5301.

There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians.

The Order will come into operation on 22 November 2025 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 26 days.
