PARISHES OF GREYSTEAD AND WARK PUBLIC BRIDLEWAYS NUMBERS 25 AND 35 (TEMPORARY PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Greystead Public Bridleway Number 25 and Parish of Wark Public Bridleway No 35, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
Greystead and Wark Public Bridleways Nos 25 & 35
From a point 810 metres south-east of Little Dod Hill in a general north-easterly and northerly direction for a distance of 2220 metres to the junction with Parish of Greystead Public Footpaths Nos 13 and 16 immediately south of the Clint Burn.
There is an alternative route is available from a point 810 metres south-east of Little Dod Hill in a general north-westerly direction for a distance of 1510 metres passing to the north of Little Dod Hill then continuing over the forestry road in a general north-easterly direction for a distance of 3180 metres to join Parish of Greystead Public Bridleway No.21, 165 metres north-west of the Clint Burn.
The Order is to be effective from the 17th November 2025 until the 17th May 2026.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council, Neighbourhood Services in the interests of public safety to facilitate works to replace a bridleway bridge over the Clint Burn.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
C213 WARK TO BIRTLEY, BIRTLEY (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C213 Wark to Birtley from its junction with U5013 Troughend to Pitt House heading in a north westerly direction for a distance of 81 meters in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 17th November 2025 until the 28th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 17th November 2025 until the 21st November 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TRO is in force being via C213, C216, C215 and vice versa and where possible the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U8134 PAGE CROFT JUNCTION TO HAYDON JUNCTION, HAYDON BRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8134 Page Croft Junction to Haydon Junction Haydon Bridge from its junction with the U8135 Brokenheugh Junction to Haydon Junction heading in a southerly direction for a distance of 970 meters in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 18th November 2025 until the 20th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 18th November 2025 between the 09:00 hours and 17:00 hours during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 20th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TRO is in force being via U8135, C228, B6319 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U8293 ELVASTON ROAD HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8293 Elvaston Road Hexham from its junction with U8293 Gaping Lane heading in a southerly direction for a distance of 558 meters in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 21st November 2025 until the 20th February 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 21st November 2025 until the 21st November 2025 between the 09:00 hours and 16:00 hours during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 20th February 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TRO is in force being via U8293, C282, B6306, B6305 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C238 FEATHERSTONE COMMON TO REDPEATH HALTWHISTLE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C238 Featherstone Common to Redpeath Haltwhistle from its junction with C327 Pinkings Cleugh Junction to Blenkinsopp heading in a north easterly direction for a distance of 80 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 17th November 2025 until the 21st November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 17th November 2025 until the 18th November 2025 between the hours of 08:00 to 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C238, C327, A69 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C291 LEADGATE TO THORNLEYGATE ALLENDALE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C291 Leadgate to Thornleygate Allendale 45 metres eastwards from its junction with U8302 Round Hill Junction to Quarry House Junction heading further eastwards for a distance of 120 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 19th November 2025 until the 25th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 19th November 2025 until the 21st November 2025 between the hours of 08:00 to 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 25th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C291, U8302, U8306, C290 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes and where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C298 Clap Shaw Blanchland from its junction with Blanchland Tynedale District Footpath 015 heading in an easterly direction for a distance of 26 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 24th November 2025 until the 28th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 24th November 2025 until the 25th November 2025 between the hours of 08:00 to 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C298, C20, U700903, B6306 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U8167 THE CHARE WALL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8167 The Chare Wall from its junction with A6079 Front Street heading in an eastwards direction for a distance of 50 meters in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 7th November 2025 until the 8th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 7th November 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8167, A6079 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U5040 GREENHAUGH TO DUNNS HOUSE TARSET (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U5040 Greenhaugh to Dunns House from its junction with the front of Greenhaugh Primary School heading in a northward direction for a distance of 193 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th November 2025 until the 12th November 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 6th November 2025 until the 7th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U5040, A68, B6320, C198 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Dutton Traffic Management Services road closure for overhead pole maintenance. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)
U8291 HALLSTILE BANK, HEXHAM
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 16(1) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:
Temporary Road Closure
Pedestrian and vehicular traffic on the U8291 Hallstile Bank, Hexham from its junction with the U8288 Back Way heading in a northward direction for a distance of 58 metres (“the Road”) will be prohibited because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
While this Order is in force, pedestrian and vehicular access is available via the U8291, U8290 and U8288. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
This Order has been requested by Northumberland County Council following the partial collapse of a building and the removal of debris. The building remains unsafe.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(b)
The Council did on the 7th October 2025 issue a Notice known in the Parish of Tarset Public Footpath Number 53 and Parish of Greystead Public Footpath Number 24 Emergency Road Closure Notice in accordance with s.14(2) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of this Notice was to temporarily prohibit all traffic on a length of highway on the Parish of Greystead Public Footpath Number 24 from the C200 road at Hot Farm in a northerly direction for a distance of 273 metres, crossing the footbridge to the Greystead-Tarset parish boundary, and Parish of Tarset Public Footpath Number 53 from the parish boundary in a northerly direction, for a distance of 23 metres, to join Parish of Tarset Public Footpath Number 31 at a point 303 metres south-east of Thorneyburn Station, on the north bank of the River North Tyne. (“the Road”) in the County of Northumberland.
This Notice came into force on the 7th October 2025 and will remain in force until the 28th October 2025.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council are satisfied that the prohibition of all traffic should continue on the Road and on the 22nd October 2025 have now made an Order in exercise of their powers under Section 14 (1)(b) of the Act in accordance with s.16(1) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992.
This Order will come into effect on the 29th October 2025 and will remain in force until the 28th April 2026, subject to the provisions of section 15 of the Act.
There is no alternative route available for the duration of the Order.
The prohibition has been requested by Neighbourhood Services (Northumberland County Council) as there is a likelihood of danger to the public due to the unsafe condition of the bridge deck over the River North Tyne.
