Public Footpath FP1302046 - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS FP1302046 BARROWFORD AND FP1304166 & FP1304167 COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpaths indicated below:-

Part of Public Footpath FP1302046 Barrowford, Pendle from Francis Ave at Point A (SD 8660 4027) in an easterly direction for approximately 45 metres to Point B (SD 8662 4027).

Part of Public Footpath FP1304166 Colne, Pendle from Point B (SD 8662 4027) in a generally easterly direction for approximately 20 metres to Point C (SD 8664 4027).

Part of Public Footpath FP1304167 Colne, Pendle from Point B (SD 8662 4027) in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 140 metres to Point D (SD 8671 4027).

The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths.

Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in this order shall apply to emergency service vehicles, public rights of way officers of the County Council on foot or to those undertaking the works.

The Order will be operative from the 22nd October, 2025, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
