Hainworth Shaw Lane, Keighley - Temporary Road Closure due to Water Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

HAINWORTH SHAW LANE, KEIGHLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Hainworth Shaw Lane, Keighley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Hainworth Shaw Lane from the entrance the Pear Tree Farm to the entrance the Moorside Farm.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Hainworth Shaw Lane (unaffected section), Shaw Lane, Glen Lee Lane, Long Lee Lane, Harden Road, Keighley Road, Long Lane, Hill End Lane, Ryecroft Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 10th of November 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 14th of November 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
