THE A45 TRUNK ROAD (BETWEEN RUSHDEN AND HIGHAM FERRERS, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A45 Trunk Road, between Rushden and Higham Ferrers, in North Northamptonshire, to enable resurfacing works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close the layby adjacent to the northbound carriageway of the A45, approximately 795 metres northeast of the centrepoint of the roundabout junction of the A45 with the A5001, B645 Northampton Road and South Way, at Rushden.

The layby is expected to be closed from 13:00 hours on Wednesday 26 November 2025 until 06:00 hours on Saturday 29 November 2025. The Order will come into force on 19 November 2025. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
