Back Dirkhill Road, Bradford - Temporary Road Closure due to Electrical Works

BACK DIRKHILL ROAD, BRADFORD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of Northern Powergrid (electrical) works proposed to be executed on or near Back Dirkhill Road, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Back Dirkhill Road from a point outside No. 22 Retford Place to a point outside No. 25 Retford Place.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Back Dirkhill Road (unaffected section), Back Retford Place, Grantham Road, Back Grantham Place and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 10th of November 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 14th of November 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
