Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Bristol Road, Churchill, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming into Force: 12 January 2026
Ref: SW25.26-193
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to cabling work. This order will become operative on the 12 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 nights in duration between 9pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming into Force: 12 January 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to complete cabling work. This order will become operative on the 12 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 nights in duration between 9pm to 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath between Knightcott Gardens and Knightcott Road, Banwell, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026
Date coming into Force: 19 January 2026
Ref: SW25.26-196
Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for the installation of a new underground main. This order will become operative on the 19 January 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 10 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Hutton Moor Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming into Force: 19 January 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to remove trees and overgrown vegetation from network infrastructure. This order will become operative on the 19 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration between 8am and 3pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - Hutton Moor Road from junction with Anthill Drive to junction with Fernlea Road. Access to allotments will be maintained.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
A370 Herluin Way, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists
Date coming into force: 3 November 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedules to this Notice.
This order was required because of pre-surface dressing patching and will become operative on 3 November 2025.
The works will be carried out in two phases on Herluin Way.
Phase 1: closure of the westbound carriageway for 4 nights from 3 November 2025, between 8pm and 6am.
Phase 2: closure of the eastbound carriageway for 5 nights from 10 November 2025 between 8pm and 6am.
The total length of the closures is anticipated to be 10 nights (excluding weekends). The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
Extent - A370 Herluin Way (both directions) full extents.
Alternative routes - A370 Herluin Way - B3440 Hutton Moor Roundabout, A370 Somerset Avenue, A370 Bristol Road, M5 Junction 21 Roundabout, B3440 Bristol Road, B3440 New Bristol Road, B3440 Locking Road, Francis Fox Road, A370 Hildesheim Bridge, A370 Marchfields Road, A370 Marchfields Way and vice-versa.
