What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, GADDESBY, BOROUGH OF MELTON)
(IMPOSITION OF 30MPH SPEED LIMIT AND RESTRICTED ROAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 5, 81, 82(2), 83(2) 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:
To impose a 30-mph speed limit on parts of Ashby Road, Paske Avenue, Pasture Lane, Rearsby Lane and Rotherby Road, Gaddesby
To impose a Restricted Road on parts of Ashby Road, Park Hill, Paske Avenue and Rearsby Lane, Gaddesby and on Barrow Crescent, Chapel Lane, Church Lane, Cross Street, Main Street and Nether End, Gaddesby for their entire lengths.
The Order will come into force on the third day of November 2025.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
