Well Road, Oughterside – Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2085 WELL ROAD, OUGHTERSIDE)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U2085, Well Road, Oughterside, from its junction with the C2023, extending in a south westerly direction for its entire length.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 4 days between 0930 and 1530 hours, each day, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
