What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
FOOTPATHS 13, 15, 16, 17 AND 19
THE LANES EAST DENE ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the five parts of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. The prohibition from proceeding along footpath 13 will be from Monday 8th. December until Wednesday 24th. December 2025. The prohibition from proceeding along footpaths 15 and 16 will be from Friday 14th. November until Wednesday 24th. December 2025. The prohibition from proceeding along footpath 17 will be from Monday 1st. December until Wednesday 24th. December 2025.  The prohibition from proceeding along footpath 19 will be from Tuesday 18th. November until Monday 8th. December 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for pedestrians affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring footpaths.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of footpath (Installation of new gas services).

SCHEDULE

(i)     Footpath 13 between properties 154 and 158 The Lanes

(ii)    Footpath 15 at the side of property 69 to the side of 117 The Lanes

(iii)   Footpath 16 from the front of property 60 to the front of 64 The Lanes

(iv)   Footpath 17 from the front of property 50 to the front of 59 The Lanes

(v)    Closed from the front of property 4 to the rear of property 9 The Lanes

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
SOUTHLANDS WAY ASTON SHEFFIELD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Southlands Way from its junction with The Chase to the end of the cul de sac on Monday 10th. November and Tuesday 11th. November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing).

TOOKER ROAD BROOM VALLEY ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Tooker Road from its junction with Godstone Road to its junction with Gerard Road from Monday 3rd. November until Friday 7th. November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH 3 ORGREAVE ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath 3 Orgreave commencing from a point on B6066 Highfield Spring at Grid Reference SK 4155 8731 and proceeding in a south westerly direction for a distance of 70m to a point at Grid Reference SK 4149 8726 from Tuesday  11th. November 2025 for a period of six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via signed diversions.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (preparatory earthworks for residential development).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF STEADFOLDS LANE THURCROFT ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steadfolds Lane from the eastern kerbline of Steadfolds Rise for a distance of approximately 220m in an easterly direction from Monday 10th. November until Friday  19th. December 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Rose Lane, Laughton Road, The Crescent, Crescent End, Steadfolds Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (wall repairs).
