What is happening?

CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (VARIOUS ROADS, LUTTERWORTH)
(AMENDMENT 10) ORDER 202

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:

To revoke the No Stopping except taxis/No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on part of Bell Street, Lutterworth

To revoke the Limited waiting 1 hour no return within 1 hour

Fri - Weds 8am - 6pm/No waiting Thursday, Disabled parking

Fri - Weds 8am - 6pm/No waiting Thursday, Limited Waiting 30mins no return within 1 hour Mon - Sat 8am - 6pm and

No Waiting at Any Time on parts of Station Road, Lutterworth

To revoke the No waiting 8am - 6pm restrictions on part of High Street, Lutterworth

To impose Disabled Badge Holders Only 8am - 6pm 1 hour no return within 1 hour on part of Bell Street, Lutterworth To impose a Loading area, loading only 30minutes no return for 30 minutes on part of Station Road, Lutterworth

To impose Limited Waiting 8am - 6pm 1 hour, no return within 1 hour on part of Station Road, Lutterworth

To impose No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on parts of

High Street and Rugby Road, Lutterworth

To impose No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on parts of Baker Street, Church Gate and Woodbine Crescent, Lutterworth

To impose No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on part of Church Street, Lutterworth

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA, at the offices of Harborough District Council, Adam & Eve Street, Market Harborough LE16 7AG or on the Notice Board of Lutterworth Town Council. Documents can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations from 30th October 2025.

Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 20th November 2025, quoting reference  KJ/HTWMT/6038. NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
SECTION 119 – HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY C40 (PART) AND
PUBLIC FOOTPATH Y13 (PART) AT ARNESBY LODGE, ARNESBY
IN THE PARISH OF ARNESBY AND
THE DISTRICT OF HARBOROUGH
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

On 15th October 2025 Leicestershire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed (without modification) is to divert that part of Bridleway C40 at Arnesby Lodge in the Parish of Arnesby and the District of Harborough, which extends from Grid Reference 46223 29354, for a distance of approximately 155 metres its existing junction with Footpath Y13 at Grid Reference 46235 29363 and then continues in a generally easterly direction over rough ground for a further distance of approximately 55 metres to Grid Reference 46241 29363. The effect of the Order as confirmed (without modification) is to divert that part of Bridleway C40 at Arnesby Lodge in the Parish of Arnesby and the District of Harborough, shown by a bold continuous line on the plan, which extends from Grid Reference 46223 29354 to Grid Reference 46235 29363 and then to Grid Reference 46241 29363.

The bridleway to be diverted has no recorded width.

Also, to divert that part of Footpath Y13 at Arnesby Lodge in the Parish of Arnesby and the District of Harborough, shown by a bold continuous line on the plan which extends from Grid Reference 46237 29335 to Grid Reference 46235 29363.

The section of footpath to be diverted has no recorded width.

A new public bridleway (C40) at Arnesby Lodge in the Parish of Arnesby and the District of Harborough, shown by a bold broken line on the plan, which extends from 46223 29354 to Grid Reference 46237 29358 and then to Grid Reference 46241 29363 is to be created.

The new bridleway will have a width of 4 metres.

Also, a new Footpath (Y13) at Arnesby Lodge in the Parish of Arnesby and the District of Harborough, shown by a bold broken line on the plan, which extends from Grid Reference 46237 29335 to Grid Reference 46240 29335 and then to Grid Reference 46237 29358.

The new footpath will have a width of 2 metres.

No works are required to bring the diversions into effect. A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200, County Hall,

Glenfield and the offices of Harborough District Council, The Symington Building, Adam & Eve Street, Market Harborough LE16 7AG during office opening hours. A copy has also been sent to Arnesby Parish Council and may be purchased. The Order comes into force on 12th November 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from the date of this Notice, make an application to the High Court.
