Tottenham, Temporary Traffic Restrictions & CPZ Extensions Due To Boxing Event

What is happening?

THE HARINGEY (THFC NOVEMBER BOXING EVENT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

The Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above Temporary Traffic Order under S14(1) Road Traffic Regulation Order 1984 described below:

Various Roads – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Surrounding Areas

Reason for 14(1) Order –

(1) CPZ extension required to manage traffic flows on the highway network and ensure safe passage of all traffic including pedestrians for boxing event

(2) Additional restrictions required to maintain vehicular movement and access for emergency services for the boxing event

To extend the operational hours of all permit holders only bays and the no waiting restrictions (single yellow lines) within each of the controlled parking zones (CPZs) listed below:

• Bruce Castle CPZ (BC)

• Bruce Grove North Park CPZ (BGN)

• Northumberland Park West CPZ (NPW)

• The Hale CPZ (TH)

• Tottenham Event Day CPZ (TED)

• Tottenham Hale North CPZ (THN)

• Tottenham Hale North Event Day CPZ (THNED)

• Tower Gardens CPZ (TG)

• Tower Gardens CPZ (TGN)

• Tower Gardens Event Day CPZ (TGED)

20:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs

3. To implement a No Entry restriction for vehicular traffic into White Hart Lane N17 from Creighton Road/White Hart Lane Junction (outside No.748/6 on the eastern side of White Hart Lane N17).

4. To install no loading restrictions on the existing single yellow lines on the north side of Whitehall Street N17 (between the east–end boundary of the link wall of No.743 High Road).

5. To introduce a No Waiting/Loading (No Stopping) restriction at the following locations. Any existing bays located within a length below will be suspended during the dates and times specified, and parking places are to remain operational for permit holders:

(a) White Hart Lane N17:

  • (East side): From the junction with White Hart Lane to opposite the northern end of its junction with College Road.

  • (West side): Between its junctions with College Road and Commercial Road (outside 34 to 67 College Road only).

(b) North side: Outside No.34/35 Pretoria Road, Durban Road N17.

(c) (Both sides): From its junction with Pretoria Road, extending to the eastern property boundary of No.2 (approximately 28 metres).

White Hart Lane N17:

(e) Both sides: Between its junctions with High Road and Creighton Road (including through existing restricted parking zone).

(f) West/south side: from the junction with Creighton Road, continuing in a northerly then westerly direction to a point opposite Haringey Sixth Form (visitor parking access gate).

(g) South side: Between Somerset Gardens access road (east side) and the permit holders only bay (opposite Traffic Enforcement western entrance), in south side/grassed alley. Entirety of the double yellow lines on rear/adjoining to Somerset Gardens (opposite Nos. 256/260).

(h) North side: Outside access gate to No.126, outside No.176.

Creighton Road N17:

(i) (South side): From its junction with White Hart Lane (outside No.1) to outside No.27. Outside No.33 to No.49, outside the access road between No.61/63, No.67/71. Outside No.85-89.

(j) (North side): Outside SP Lewis Pharmacy (No.4) on the opposite side of the access gates, from opposite No.6 to opposite No.7.

High Road N17:

(k) (West side): From the junction with White Hart Lane (outside No.793) northwards to outside No.849 (BM access road).

(l) (West side): Between its junctions with Lordship Lane and Brumbery Road.

(m) (East side): From its junction with Lordship Lane southwards to a point approximately 40 metres south of its junction with Scotland Green (outside No.612).

Northumberland Park N17:

(n) (Both sides): From the junction with High Road to its junction with Bennetts Close.

Lordship Lane N17:

(o) (North side): Between its junctions with High Road and Birkbeck Road.

(p) (South side): From the junction with High Road continuing west to a point approximately 40 metres east from its junction with Bruce Grove (up to existing fire red route).

Downhills Park Road N17:

(q) (South side): From its junction with High Road eastwards to outside St Marys Church eastern access (carriage south). For a point 5.2 metres east of No.17 Henshaw Court, in a southerly mode east from the western boundary of flats 1-15 (No.44) east to a point opposite the eastern end of the junction with Scotland Green.

(r) (North side): From No.2 to No.14 (between both Bronti/Terrace entrances), outside No.13 to No.17 (Henshaw Court), on existing footway to No.29, then either side of the access to flats 1-9 and east to Court, from a point opposite the western boundary of flats 1-15 (No.44), east to the junction with Scotland Road.

The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by traffic signs. For road closures, alternative routes will be directed by traffic signs. Access will be maintained where possible. For more information contact visit our website at: www.haringey.gov.uk/traffic_orders.
