Crow Lane / Malkin Street - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CROW LANE / MALKIN STREET,
CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 14 November to 18 November 2025
(19:00 to 06:00 each night).
WHERE: Crow Lane / Malkin Street,
Chesterfield between the Jct. of Malkin Street
and Brewery Street to the Jct. of Crow Lane
and Tapton Terrace.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching /
resurfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Piccadilly Road, A632,
Markham Road, Lordsmill Interchange, B6543
Lordsmill Street / St Marys Gate /Holywell
Street, Donut Interchange, Brewery Street and
vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever
reasonably possible, on the affected length of
road. The road will re-open as soon as the work
is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Council intends to make an Order under
Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
