Enfield, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984- SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

MOLLISON AVENUE EN3 - 4636

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: 6 November 2025 between 22.00hrs and 05.00hrs for 1 night or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road, eastbound, at its junction with Hertford Road EN3, for approximately 100 metres.

Whilst the road is closed local diversions would be in place.

BELMONT AVENUE N9 - 4637

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: 25 October 2025 between 08:00hrs–18:00hrs for 1 night or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking on Belmont Avenue N9, between its junctions with Bury Street and Welby Close.

Whilst the road is closed local diversions would be in place.

MANOR FARM ROAD EN1 - 4638

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “At any time” on 7 November 2025 for 5 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road from the junction with Bullsmore Lane to outside the common boundary of No.s 21/23, on both sides of the road.

WATERFALL ROAD WALKER CRICKET GROUND - 4639

Reason for 14(1) Order – Public Safety

Operational Date and times: “At any time” on 8 November 2025 for 1 day.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

  • close The Green N14 between its junctions with Arnos Grove N14 Waterfall Road N14; and

  • close Waterfall Road N14 between its junctions with The Green N14 and Waterfall Close N14; and

  • close Waterfall Road N14 from its junction with Waterfall Close N14 to its junction with Morton Way

Whilst the roads are closed local diversions would be in place.

REMEMBRANCE DAY EDMONTON GREEN – 4641

Reason for 14(1) Order – Public Safety

Operational Date and times: 9 November 2025 between 10am and 12pm.

The general effect of the Order would be to close the following roads:

  • Monmouth Road between St Martins Road and Hertford Road; and

  • Hertford Road between Monmouth Road and The Green; and

  • The Green between Hertford Road and The Broadway; and

  • The Broadway between The Green and Fore Street; and

  • Fore Street between The Broadway and Plevna Road; and

  • Church Street between Victoria Road and The Green

Whilst the road is closed local diversions would be in place.

REMEMBRANCE DAY ENFIELD TOWN EN2 - 4642

Reason for 14(1) Order – Public Safety

Operational Date and times: 9 November 2025 between 14.30pm and 16.00pm.

The general effect of the Order would be to close the following roads:

  • Trinity Street EN2

  • Chase Side EN2

  • Church Street EN2

  • The Town EN2

  • Silver Street EN2

Whilst the roads are closed local diversions would be in place.

TOTTERIDGE ROAD EN3 – 4643

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “At any time” 10 November 2025 for 5 days or until works are completed

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking from its junction with Hertford Road to No.3, on both sides of the road.

Whilst the roads are closed local diversions would be in place.

LANCASTER ROAD AND BROWNING ROAD EN2 - 4644

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “At any time” 10th November 2025 for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Lancaster Road

  • Suspend parking on close this road between No.s 97–109; and

Browning Road

  • Close this road at its junction with Lancaster Road for approximately 20 metres northwards

Whilst the road is closed local diversions would be in place.

ALBANY ROAD, GROVE ROAD WEST, HERTFORD ROAD EN3 - 4645

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: 10th November 2025 between 09:30hrs – 15:30hrs, for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

Albany Road

  • Close this road and suspend parking at its junction with Hertford Road for approximately 65 metres northwards; and

Grove Road West

  • Suspend parking from a point outside No. 6 to its junction with Hertford Road EN3, for approximately 25 metres north eastwards; and

Hertford Road EN3 – Cycle Lane

  • Southbound from No 534 for approximately 10 metres

  • Northbound - from No 588 for approximately 35 metres

Whilst the road is closed local diversions would be in place.

Cyclists would be required to dismount and walk for the length of the cycle lane closure or join the main carriageway to continue cycling or join the carriageway.

JEFFREYS ROAD EN3 - 4646

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: 10th November 2025 “at any time” for 3 months or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to:

  • suspend parking between its junction with Mollison Avenue and Riverwalk Road, on both sides of the road; and

  • close this road between its junction with Centenary Road southwards for approximately 40 metres

Whilst the roads are closed local diversions would be in place.

BILTON WAY EN3 - 4647

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: 10th November 2025 “at any time” for 6 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on this road between its junctions with Mollison Avenue and Lytton Avenue.

The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by Traffic signs.
