Salisbury Road & Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh - Temporary Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(SALISBURY ROAD AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD
RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 - TEMP/25/131
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate remedial works, no person shall:
(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of Salisbury Rd, from the extended southwest kerbline of Dalkeith Rd, south-westwards for 36m, daily from 19:30hrs to 06:30hrs between 31/10/25 & 02/11/25
(b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of (i) Dalkeith Rd, south-west side, from 19m north-west of the extended north-west kerbline of Salisbury Rd south-eastwards for 72m and (ii) Salisbury Rd, both sides from the extended south-west kerbline of Dalkeith Rd, south-westwards for 36m.
Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The bus lane on Dalkeith Rd, south-west side, shall be suspended in so far as it is affected by this Order. The alternative route for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closure of Salisbury Rd will be by way of Salisbury Rd, Newington Rd, East Preston St and Dalkeith Rd.
The Order shall have effect from 31/10/25 to 02/11/25.
