What is happening?

SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(DINGLETON ROAD, MELROSE)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Dingleton Road, Melrose) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 3 November 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 31 March 2026 between the hours of 07:30 and 16:30 each day. There will be no restrictions in place over the festive period from 19 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. The Order is required for safe access and egress to the new site.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along:
(i) Northwest side of Dingleton Road, Melrose from Eildon Village to turning area; and
(ii) East side of Danielton Cottages Road at Orchard Lea.
