INTRODUCTION OF TAXI RANK IN FREEMASONS ROAD E16

The Newham (Custom House) (Parking Places) (No. 1, 2017) (Amendment No. 15) Order 2025

The Newham (Prohibition of Stopping on Taxi Ranks) (No. 2) Order 2025

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (‘the Council’) on 27 October 2025 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce a taxi rank for two vehicles outside Nos. 9-11 Freemasons Road. The taxi rank will replace 12 metres of pay-by-phone parking at that location.

  3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 3 November 2025 and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk

    for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.

  4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
