1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (the Council) proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) reduce the length of shared use parking spaces on the easternmost north-east to south-west arm of Gibbins Road (opposite No. 98 Gibbins Road) to 12.2 metres and introduce a cycle hire bay (5 metres in length) intended for the leaving of “dockless hire bicycles” operating at all times;
(b) remove 25 metres of shared use parking spaces on the westernmost north-west to south-east arm of Gibbins Road (opposite the north-western wall of No. 98 Gibbins Road) and replace it with a taxi rank operating at all times; and
(c) introduce disabled persons parking places operating at all times (with a maximum stay of 1 hour and no return within 2 hours on the westernmost north-west to south-east arm of Gibbins Road (opposite the north-western wall of No. 98 Gibbins Road abutting the taxi bay detailed in 2 (b) above) for a distance of 13.2 metres.

4. Documents and a plan giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders can be made available during normal office hours on Monday to Friday by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk by telephoning 020 3373 6415, or inspected (by prior appointment - please telephone the above number) at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.
5. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and received by 19 November 2025. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. They should be sent to the Acting Director of Highways, Parking & Transportation, London Borough of Newham, 3rd Floor West, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU or by email to traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk.
6. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or email sent to the Council in response to this Notice may be subject to publication or disclosure, or both, including communication to other persons affected.
