ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(CARR WOOD ROAD, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 334) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out connection for works on Park Road to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carr Wood Road,Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carr Wood Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Park Road, Front Street, Carr Wood Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd November 2025 to 14th November 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WATER LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 337) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for non standard works to the water network to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Water Lane, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Water Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ferrybridge Road, Box Lane, Bondgate & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd November 2025 to 11th November 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BELL LANE, ACKWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 338) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install a new gas connection to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bell Lane, Ackworth, outside number 22. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bell Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hardakers Approach, Wakefield Road, Barnsley Road, Bell Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd November 2025 to 7th November 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(HOUNDHILL LANE, FEATHERSTONE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 340) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for joint hole, 5m of trench and 5m road crossing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Houndhill Lane, Featherstone for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Houndhill Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ravensmead, Houndhill Lane & vice versa
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd November 2025 to 7th November 2025 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(FOOTPATH 12, OFF COMMON LANE, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 342) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for pedestrian safety around building works to be carried out on or near Footpath 12, off Common Lane, Knottingley, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, has made an Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.
Alternative route for pedestrians: Common Lane, Springfields Avenue & vice versa.
The order comes into operation on 4th November 2025 to 22nd March 2026.
(BROAD LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 343) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for demolition works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Broad Lane, Pontefract, one way closure from the junction of Southgate to access road from Horsefair. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Broad Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: The 2 lanes normally used to exit Broad Lane on to Southgate will be used as access towards Horsefair and the oneway system will then be used as the exit using the diversion: Horsefair, Finkle Street, Northgate, Cockpit Lane, Skinner Lane, Headlands Lane, Stuart Road, Front Street, Jubilee Way, Southgate vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 2nd November 2025 to 11th November 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(VALE CRESCENT, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 349) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for a new connection to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Vale Crescent, Knottingley for approximately 100 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Vale Crescent.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Vale Crescent.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th November 2025 at 00.00 to 22nd December 2025, at 23.59 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(GREEN LANE, CUTSYKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 350) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for investigation works, pre installation of gully connected to soakaway to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Green Lane, Cutsyke from outside The Cedars to the entrance to The Sawmill. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Green Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Green Lane, Flass Lane, Leeds Road, Aketon Road, Westwood Road, Green Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th November 2025 at 07.30 to 21st November 2025, at 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(LUMLEY AVENUE, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 351) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for footway patching to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Lumley Avenue, Castleford, areas along full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Lumley Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th November 2025 to 13th February 2026, closed 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
