Dewsbury and Batley Area - Multiple Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order

What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
(VALLEY ROAD, LIVERSEDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Valley Road, Liversedge from its junction with Bradford Road
to its junction with Halifax Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to
the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles/ affected by the closure will be available via Bradford Road, Leeds Road, Halifax Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 17 November 2025 and remain in force until 28 November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BRADFORD ROAD, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the
effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bradford Road, Dewsbury from its junction with Dewsbury Ring Road to its junction with Spinkwell Mill Apartment access road
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Diversion 1 - via Dewsbury Ring Road, Leeds Road, A6029, A650 Britannia Road/Bruntcliffe Road, Leeds Road, A652 Bradford Road and vice versa.
Diversion 2 - via Bradford Road, Huddersfield Road, Webster Hill, Dewsbury Ring Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 17 November 2025 and remain in force until 24 November 2025 (between 22:00 - 05:00 hours - night works only) (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(BATLEY ROAD, HECKMONDWIKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Batley Road, Heckmondwike from a point outside property No. 3 to a point outside property No. 51 PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Batley Road, White Lee Road, Leeds Road, Frost Hill, Flush, Westgate, High Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence at 22:00 hours on Thursday, 6 November 2025 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on 7 November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(FIR AVENUE/FIR PARADE/FIR WALK,
RAVENSTHORPE, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Fir Avenue/Fir Parade/Fir Walk, Ravensthorpe from both junctions with Huddersfield Road (whole estate) PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 3 November 2025 and remain in force until 16 November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(OAKS ROAD, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any
vehicle to proceed in that length of Oaks Road, Batley from its junction with Bridle Street to a point outside Oaks Cottage PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 and remain in force until 21 November 2025 although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
