TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD

ORDER 2025

On the 23 October 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Braidholm Road (between its junctions with Merryton Avenue and Merryvale Avenue), Giffnock, in the interest of the safety of pedestrians during the fireworks display on or near the road, scheduled to be carried between 18:15 and 20:30 on 5th November 2025.

The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the event.

Alternative route: Braidholm Road – Fenwick Road – Kilmarnock Road – Merrylee Road – Langside Drive and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
