What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary 30 MPH Speed Restriction, Nunnington to East Ness, Nunnington, Order 2025 No. 391

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in excess of 30 mph along Nunnington to East Ness & Slingsby to East Ness, Nunnington for a temporary period between 29/10/25 & 28/02/26, due to Yorkshire Water works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 29/03/26. The restriction will be put into effect by notices & signs. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Stamford Bridge to Buttercrambe Bridge, Buttercrambe, Order 2025, No. 394

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Stamford Bridge to Buttercrambe Bridge, Buttercrambe for a temporary period of 2 weeks (subject to access to premises) between 03/11/25 & 28/11/25, due to works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Woodhouse Farm Road, North Grimston, Order 2025, No. 416

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Woodhouse Farm Road, North Grimston for a temporary period of 4 weeks (subject to access to premises) between 03/11/25 & 31/03/26, due to cattle grid repair works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004; the effect will be to amend "North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting and Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Ryedale) Consolidation Order 2013" by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:-

Table - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Roads In The Village of Thornton-Le-Dale, Prohibition of Waiting Between The Hours of 9am & 6pm, 21 March to 6 October

Priestman's Lane, Both sides from the centreline of its junction with Ellerburn Road, to a point 80 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Ellerburn Road, Priestman's Lane, Both sides from a point 325 metres north of the centreline of its junction with Church Hill, to a point 116 metres north of the centreline of its junction with Church Hill. Prohibition of Waiting at all Times Priestman's Lane, Both sides from a point 80 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Ellerburn Road, to a point 325 metres north of the centreline of its junction with Church Hill.

Revocations - The North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Ryedale) Amendment No 13) Order 2020: In Schedule 1, item no. 42 that refers to the north side of Priestman's Lane is revoked. In Schedule 3, item nos. 4, 5 & 6 that refer to Priestman's Lane are revoked. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Pickering Library, The Ropery, Pickering, YO18 8DY during normal office hours from 29/10/25 to 19/11/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection in writing, addressed to Area 4 Kirby Misperton Highways Office, Beanesheaf Industrial Park, Tofts Road, Kirby Misperton, Malton, North Yorkshire YO17 6BG or by email to Area4.KirbyMisperton@northyorks.gov.ukor via the website link above by 19/11/25.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Woodlands Road, Rillington, Order 2025, No. 427

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Woodlands Road, Rillington for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 19/11/25 & 28/11/25, due to fuse upgrade, excavate to locate cable including 2 LV joint bays in footway, 21m of open cut trench in footway & 6m road crossing to joint new cable & reinstate excavations to alter supply works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 11/05/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Castlegate, Malton, Order 2025, No. 435

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Castlegate, Malton for a temporary period of 2 weeks (subject to access to premises) between 18/11/25 & 06/12/25, due to carriageway resurfacing works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
