What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no
less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL
(BROADBENT STREET) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC
REGULATION ORDER 2025.
The Order will introduce a road closure on Broadbent
Street, south of the junction of A580 East Lancashire Road,
Swinton, M27 0BD. The Order is necessary for Cadent
Gas' gas mains replacement scheme. The order is due to
come into operation on the 16th February 2026 and will last
for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed
if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by 2nd
March 2026. The diversion routes are via Poplar Road -
Arthur Street, vice versa. A copy of the proposed Order
and plans of the area may be requested by contacting
Salford City Council Street Works team via the email street.
