What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
HIGH STREET, BIRKINSTYLE LANE,
STONEBROOM
WHEN: 20 November to 22 November 2025 (19:00 to 23:00)
WHERE: High Street, Birkinstyle Lane, Stonebroom between Kingsley Crescent and Birkinstyle Avenue.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching / resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Birkinstyle Lane, Goose Green Lane, Common Lane, Well Lane, Higham Lane, Church Lane, Main Road, Station Road, Doe Hill Lane, Stonebroom Lane, High Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
