What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(VARIOUS STREETS, THWING)
(30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

1. On 30 October 2025, East Riding of Yorkshire
Council made this Order which will be operative
from 30 October 2025, the effect of which will be
to:
(a) to prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 30 mph on the following length of road:
Road Extent
Octon Road, From a point 121m from the western
Thwing kerb line of Butt Lane at its junction
with Octon Road, in a westerly
direction, for a total distance of 64m.
Octon Road, From the western kerb line of Butt
Thwing Lane at its junction with Octon Road,
in a westerly direction, for a total
distance of 29m.
Kilham Lane, From the northern kerb line of
Thwing Octon Road at its junction with
Kilham Lane, in a southerly direction,
for a total distance of 46m.
Butt Lane, From a point 43m of the southern
Thwing kerb line of Main Street at its junction
with Butt Lane, in a southerly
direction, for a total distance of 46m.
Main Street From a point 33m from the western
(West, Thwing) kerb line of Church Lane at its
junction with Main Street, in a
westerly direction, for a total distance
of 104m.

Wold Newton From a point 48m from the northern
Road, Thwing kerb line of Church Lane at its
junctions with Wold Newton
Road, in an easterly then northerly
direction, for a total distance of 103m.

Little Farm Lane, For its entire length.
Thwing
Main Street From a point 345m of the eastern
(East, Thwing) kerb line of Butt Lane at its junction
with Main Street, in an easterly
direction, for a total distance of 227m.
Burton Fleming From the northern kerb line of Main
Road, Thwing Street at its junction with Burton
Fleming Road, in an easterly then
northerly direction, for a total
distance of 119m.
2. A copy of the Order and relevant plan may be
examined during normal office hours at Bridlington
Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, Quay Road,
Bridlington, YO16 4LP.
3. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or
of any provision contained within it on the grounds
that it is not within the powers conferred by the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds
that any requirement of that Act or any instrument
made under it has not been complied with in relation
to the Order, you may, within six weeks from
30 October 2025 apply to the High Court for this
purpose.
