St Georges Parade - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SAINT GEORGES PARADE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council propose to make an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on St Georges Parade between its
junctions with Bilston Street to outside St Georges car
park. The one-way system on St Georges Parade to be
revoked and two-way traffic permitted to allow for
access to be maintained from outside St Georges car
park to its junction with Snow Hill.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 11th November 2025 until
14th November 2025, between the hours of 19:00
and 05:00.
The diversion route is: Bilston Street Island, Ring Road
Saint Georges, Penn Road Island, Ring Road Saint
Johns and Snow Hill.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway surface
treatment works by CWC.
