Chetwynd Road - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CHETWYND ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Chetwynd Road in
both directions from its junction with Bromwynd Close to its
junction with Upper Villiers Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months’, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken on 2 days between 10 November 2025 and
14 November 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30.
The diversion route is: Upper Villiers Street, Goldthorn Hill,
Goldthorn Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway repairs by
CWC Highway Maintenance.
