Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 30 October 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WOLVERTON ROAD, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2274)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Wolverton Road, Newport Pagnell from its junction with Brickhill Street (Giffard Park Roundabout) to its junction with Broadway Avenue, to enable Lawrence Baker Limited to carry out Remedial works to central reservation (planning of tarmac and new white lines).
The closure will take effect from 10th to 13th November 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Monks Way, Saxon Street and Wolverton Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WESTERN ROAD (PART), WOLVERTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2281)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Western Road, Wolverton (its access/service road) from its junction with Woburn Avenue to its junction with the access/service road for Windsor Street, to enable SGN to undertake urgent gas connection works.
The closure will take effect from 12th to 24th November 2025 (24 hours each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Woburn Avenue, Western Road (main carriageway) and Windsor Street’s access/service road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BUCKINGHAM ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2256)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Buckingham Road, Bletchley from its junction with Brunel Roundabout to its junction with Water Eaton Road, to enable Network Rail to remove a tree from the railway above the carriageway:
The closure will take effect on 13th November 2025 (01:00 – 04:00)
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Saxon Street, Bletcham Way, Grafton Street and Standing Way (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 28th October 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HAMPSON CLOSE, BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2223)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Hampson Close Bradwell, from outside number 2 – Number 31, to enable allow Openreach to install Duct.
The closure will take effect on 3rd and 4th November 2025 (between the hours of 09:30 and 16:30).
Whilst the closure is in place there will be no alternative route, however access for residents will be maintained.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (OSBORNE STREET (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2242)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Osborne Street, Bletchley – from its junction with Windsor Street to its junction with Oliver Road, to enable SGN to carry out new connection works
The closure will take effect from 3rd to 11th November 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Windsor Street, Water Eaton Road and Duncombe Street (and vice versa).

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN MILTON KEYNES) (MILTON KEYNES BOWL FIREWORKS DISPLAY 2025) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2280)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable the MK Bowl Fireworks Display event takes place on 1st November 2025 (between the hours of 6:00pm and 11:00pm):
Watling Street (V4) between Elfield Park Roundabout and Knowlhill Roundabout.
Chaffron Way (H7) between Leadenhall Roundabout and Furzton Roundabout.
Grafton Street (V6) between Leadenhall Roundabout and Bleak Hall Roundabout
Standing Way (H8) between Elfield Park Roundabout and Bleak Hall Roundabout
Davy Avenue, Knowlhill from its junction with Harrison Close to its junction with Chaffron Way
Favell Drive, Furzton from its junction with Barleycroft to its junction with Watling Street
Bridleway 32, Loughton from its junction with Chaffron Way to its junction with Spring Rose Way.
Watling Street (V4) between Childs Way and Standing Way.
Chaffron Way (H7) between Fulmer Street and Grafton Street.
Davy Avenue, Knowlhill (its entire length)
Fulmer Street (V3) from its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H8 Standing Way
Watling Street (V4) from its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H10 Bletcham Way
Childs Way (H6) from its junction with V3 Fulmer Street to its junction with V6 Grafton
Street.
Chaffron Way (H7) from its junction with V3 Fulmer Street to its junction with V6 Grafton
Street.
Grafton Street (V6) from its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H8 Standing Way
Standing Way (H8) from its junction with V3 Fulmer Street to its junction with V6 Grafton Street
Chesney Wold, Bleak Hall (its entire length) – Access will be maintained for businesses in Bleak with a one-way system in operation.

Bridleway 32, Loughton will also be closed from its junction with Chaffron Way to its junction with Spring Rose Way.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FLITTON COURT (PART), STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2239)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding Flitton Court, Stony Stratford from outside number 25 to its dead end, to enable BT to carry out excavations to undertake ducting works.
The closure will take effect from 4th to 7th November 2025 (24 hours on each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route, however access will be provided where safe to do so.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PORTWAY (PART), GREAT HOLM) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2244)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Portway, Great Holm from its junction with Watling Street to its junction with Paynes Drive, to enable Cornerstone Telecommunications to undertake a telecoms pole swap.
The closure will take effect from 3rd to 7th November 2025 (between the hours of 8:00pm and 5:00am each night).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Watling Street, Dansteed Way and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS TONGWELL, BLETCHLEY, SHENLEY WOOD, BRADWELL, BROUGHTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2225)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of roads whilst Anglian Water undertake essential works:
The following road will be closed from 3rd to 7th November 2025 (between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm each day):
Delaware Drive, Tongwell from its junction with Delaware Drive and Yeomans Drive for a distance of approximately 40 meters.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Yeomans Drive, Brickhill Street and Dansteed Way (and vice versa).
The following road will be closed from 3rd to 14th November 2025 (between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm each day):
The Laurels, Bletchley its entire Length.
The following road will be closed on 4th November 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm):
Oakworth Avenue, Broughton outside Number 2 Oakworth Avenue.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Radstock Crescent, Tanfield Lane (and vice versa).
The following road will be closed on 6th November 2025 (between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm):
North Street, New Bradwell from its junction with Bradwell Road to its junction with Thompson Street.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Thompson Street, Newport Road and Bradwell Road (and vice versa).
The following road will be closed on 6th and 7th November 2025 (between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm on each day):
First Avenue, Bletchley from its junction with First Avenue and Denbigh Road for a distance of approximately 40 meters.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Thompson Street, Newport Road and Bradwell Road (and vice versa).
The following road will be closed from 24th to 26th November 2025 (between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm each day):
Thirlby Lane, Shenley Wood at a point opposite The Homestead.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Thirlby lane, Shenley Road (and vice versa).
The following road will be closed on 27th and 28th November 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm on each day):
Fulmer Street, Shenley Wood from its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Chalkdell Drive.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Fulmer Street, Portway, Tattenhoe Street and Childs Way (and vice versa).

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 30th October 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Traffic Regulation Order:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SAXON STREET, BLETCHLEY) (50 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025 (Reference TRO-464)
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 50MPH Speed Restriction along that part of V7 Saxon Street, between its junction with Watling Street and its junction with Princes Way.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to
quoting reference TRO-464 and to be received no later than 20th November 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
