Swelling Hill, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Installation Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - SWELLING HILL, ROPLEY, EAST HAMPSHIRE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Swelling Hill between its junction with a point outside Old Down Cottage and its junction with a point approximately 300m heading South-West

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hawthorne Road, Lyeway Lane, A31, Gascoigne Lane

DURATION OF ORDER: from 12th November 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 09:30-15:30)

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Sunbelt Rentals to carry out pole installation works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: surveys@sunbeltrentals.co.uk
