What is happening?

NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL

PARK STREET, MOTHERWELL

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

On 20 October 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on Scottish Water Infrastructure Upgrade Works) on Park Street, Motherwell from its junction with Coursington Road to its junction with Albert Street by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: vehicles on the northwest side of the closure wishing to reach the southeast side of the closure should travel via Coursington Road, Dalziel Street then Albert Street.

Vehicles on the southeast side of the closure wishing to reach the northwest side of the closure should travel via Albert Street, Dalziel Street, Scott Street then Park Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.

The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 3 November 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Monday, 17 November 2025.
