What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(PRINCES STREET, TODDINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Princes Street, Toddington to the side of 19 Dunstable Road. This temporary closure is required to enable valve repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8pm on the 5 November 2025 to 4am on the 6 November. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B5120, B530, B57 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 5 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(HARLINGTON ROAD, HARLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Harlington Road, Harlington from Lower East End to Goswell End Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 7 November 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Station Road, Toddington Road, A5120, Kings Road, Greenfield Road, High Street, Flitton Road, Sand Road, Flitton Road, Barton Road, Bedford Road, B655, Sharpenhoe Road, Barton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 3 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Totternhoe Road, Eaton Bray outside number 92.
This temporary closure is required to enable new electrical connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 7 November 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Castle Hill Road, Dunstable Road, B489, High Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 3 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(BEDFORD ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Houghton Regis between Trinity Grove and Crixsey Mead.
This temporary closure is required to enable lateral gully connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 17 to 28 November 2025 between the hours of 9am and 1530pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A5, A505, B5120, Bedford Rd.
The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE OF MAKING
TO INTRODUCE WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON TITHE FARM ROAD AND CHURCHFIELD ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS
On 21st October 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Houghton Regis:-
1. Tithe Farm Road, west side, from the junction with Churchfield Road, following the curvature of the kerb in a north-easterly direction for approximately 11 metres.
2. Tithe Farm Road, west side, from the junction with Churchfield Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
3. Churchfield Road, north side, from the junction with Tithe Farm Road, extending in a westerly direction and then following the curvature of the kerb northwesterly for a distance of approximately 10 metres.
4. Churchfield Road, south side, from the junction with Tithe Farm Road, extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 23 metres.
5. Churchfield Road, north side, from the shared property boundary between 113 and 115 Churchfield Road and extending in an easterly direction and then following the curvature of the kerb north for approximately 13 metres into the northern spur of Churchfield Road.

On 21st October 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Dunstable:-
1. Maidenbower Avenue, north side, from a point in line with the common property boundary between No. 18 and No. 20 Maidenbower Avenue and extending in a north-westerly direction, covering an area approximately 6.6 metres in length and 2 metres in width.
