ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BOTH GREEN LANE AND ROWLANDHALL LANE, NEWSHOLME
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of both Green Lane and Rowlandhall Lane, Newsholme from a point 300 metres north of the junction with Main Street northbound for a distance of approximately 1150 metres to Damson Cottage commencing 27 November 2025 until 28 November 2025 for the purposes of excavation to install approximately 1350 metres of telecom ducting to link into the existing apparatus as part of the larger fibre to the home scheme works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within two days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Green Lane, Main Road, A63 Hull Road, Station Road, Cross Common Lane and Rowlandhall Lane, Wressle CP, Howdenshire Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The roads will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
