TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1061

THE STREET, GREAT BRADLEY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1061 The Street, Great Bradley from 50 metres east of Evergreen Lane for 50 metres eastbound to facilitate a sewer connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1052, the A1307, the A143 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/10/2025 - 31/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C568 THE COMMON, MELLIS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C568 The Common, Mellis from Rectory Road to Access Road from C570 to Rectory Farm to facilitate the installation of a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Common, Ash Road, Mellis Road, the A143, the B1113, Mill Street, High Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/10/2025 - 30/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C696 WATER LANE, LITTLE WHELNETHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C696 Water Lane, Little Whelnetham from 500 metres east of the junction with the A134 for 35 metres south eastbound to facilitate the removal and replacement of underground electrical cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A134, Little Whelnetham Road, The Street, Lower Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/10/2025 - 31/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1042 NEW CARDINAL STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1042 New Cardinal Street, Ipswich from Chalon Street to Grafton Way to facilitate parking bay lining and signage. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Grafton Way, Commercial Road, Chancery Road, Princes Street, Chalon Street with no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 6pm on 06/11/2025 - 5am on 07/11/2025. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1749 TOWER ROAD, GISLEHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1749 Tower Road, Gisleham from Morrisons to the junction with the A12 to facilitate new substation equipment. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A12, Tower Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/11/2025 - 07/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C617 Brandon Road, Mildenhall from the junction with Heath Road to no. 23 Brandon Road to facilitate the laying of a new gas service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Brandon Road, the A1065, the B1112, Eriswell Road, the A1101 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/11/2025 - 07/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2814 Back Road, Middleton from the junction with Rectory Road to the junction with The Street to facilitate the installation of a new drainage. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rectory Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/10/2025 - 29/10/2025 with a 6pm - 8am order. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C726 Burstall Road, Burstall from Ann Cottage to the junction with Burstall Lane to facilitate frame and cover repairs on joint box. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Church Hill, Ipswich Road West Burstall, Burstall Hill, Elmsett Road, Ipswich Road Elmsett, Road from 8407 to C724, Red Hill, Red Hill Road, the A1071 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 29/09/2025 until 6am on 30/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C755 Station Road, Sudbury from no. 45 for 20 metres south eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

• the B1115, the A131, the B1508, Great Eastern Road and no vice versa.

• Great Eastern Road, the A131, the B1115 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 06/11/2025 to 7am on 07/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF KESGRAVE)

MAIN ROAD (A1214) (BUS LANE) ORDER 202*

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of this will:

• revoke the existing prohibition of motor vehicles except buses and pedal cycles restriction (bus lane) on Main Road (A1214), Kesgrave.

• introduce a new prohibition of motor vehicles except buses and pedal cycles, taxis and solo motorcycles restriction (bus lane) on Main Road (A1214), Kesgrave operating at any time from a point 52 metres west of its junction with Wards View (U3209) to a point 73 metres east of its junction with Ropes Drive (U3210) totalling a distance of approximately 201 metres, being 3.2 metres wide measured from the southern kerb-line between properties numbered 263 and 239.

Exemptions to the bus lane include emergency services, statutory undertakers and building and maintenance vehicles are assumed to be exempt unless we are instructed otherwise. Also exempt are buses and pedal cycles, taxis and solo motorcycles.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ROAD HUMP AND ON ANNE SUCKLINGS LANE

(ANN SUCKLING ROAD) (U6740), HAVERHILL

Suffolk County Council proposes to construct a raised table road hump on Anne Sucklings Lane, also known as Ann Suckling Road (U6740), Haverhill. The raised table will be located at approximately 145 metres southeast of Falklands Road (U6740). It will be placed across the full width of the road, will be 10 metres long (including ramps) and 75 millimetres high.

A map showing the location of the proposed raised table road hump, and the council’s reasons for this proposal may be seen with advanced notice at Haverhill Library, Camps Road, Haverhill, Suffolk, CB9 8HB, Monday 9am - 1pm; Tuesday 9am - 7pm; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am - 5pm; Saturday 9am - 4.30pm; and Sunday 10am - 4pm; excluding Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.
