Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
ANTINGHAM – Elderton lane from 144m west of its junction with C290 Southrepps Road for 400m eastwards to facilitate bridge inspection works between 22:00 on the 3rd November to 06:00 on the 4th November 2025 (may continue until 16th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C290 Southrepps Road, A149 Cromer Road, Elderton Lane. The works promoter is Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
ANTINGHAM – 1) C290 Southrepps Road from its junction with U14369 Elderton Lane for 290m north eastwards and 2) C290 Southrepps Road from its junction with A149 Cromer Road to its junction with U14370 Church Lane to facilitate works constructing village signage near the carriageway between 08:00 and 16:00 on the 3rd & 4th November 2025 only whilst signs/displaying restrictions are in place (may continue until 16th December 2025). NB – Please note that the two roads will not be closed at the same time. BARSHAM – C586 Fakenham Road from 97A north of its junction with C478 Water lane for 50m north eastwards to facilitate BT telegraph pole works between 09:30 and 15:00 on the 7th November 2025 (may continue until 19th December 2025). FAKENHAM – 1) Norwich Street from its junction with Whitethorse Street to its junction with Market Place and 2) Market Place from its junction with Norwich Street to its junction with OakStreet to allow works associated with filming on or near the road to take place from 3rd to 5th November 2025 (may continue until 17th December 2025). FILBY & MAUTBY – C449 Thrigby Road from 590m southwest of its junction with A1064 Main Road for 670m southwestwards to facilitate testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 6th November 2025 (may continue until 19th December 2025). Alternative route is via: B1152 Main Road, A1064 Main Road, Mautby Lane, The Street, Runham Road, Mill Road, Filby Road, Stokesby Road, Thrigby Road (Filby, Mautby, Stokesby with Herringby). The works promoter is Equans.
GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Church Lane from its junction with Shrublands Way for 300m southwards to facilitate drainage construction works associated with new development works from 3rd to 6th November 2025 (may continue until 16th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Shrublands Way, Beccles Road, Church Road, Church Lane. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. NB – These works will be completed in phases with extents between junctions being used as closures where important areas exist.
GREAT YARMOUTH – Acle New Road from its junction with Fullers Hill Roundabout for 300m north westwards to facilitate resurfacing works between 20:00 and 06:00 from 2nd to 17th November 2025 (may continue until 19th December 2025). Alternative route is via: A149 Lawn Avenue, North Quay, Hall Quay, South Quay, Southgates Road, South Denes Road, Haven Bridge, William Adams Way, A47 Gorleston On Sea From A143 to A1243 (Southtown Road, Southtown Road, Western Bypass, A47 J A1243 Roundabout, A47 From A1243 to A149 Runham Roadround, A47 J A12/A149 Roundabout, A47 to Gorleston Road, Yarmouth Road, Caister Bypass, A1064 (Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea). HELLESDON – U51524 Holt Road Layby from opposite its junction with Buck Courtenay Crescent for 150m north westwards to facilitate construction works from 3rd November to 19th December 2025 (may continue until 19th June 2026). Alternative route is via: A140 Holt Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
KELLING – C311 Holgate Hill from 532m northwest of its junction with C308 Bridge Road for 700m north eastwards to facilitate removal of a bellmouth entrance track from 3rd to 5th November 2025 (may continue until 21st December 2025). Alternative route is via: C308 Bridge Road, A148 Cromer Road, C310 Gipsies Lane, C310 Weybourne Road, C310 Sandy Hill Lane, C310 Station Road, Church Street, C311 Holt Road, C311 Holgate Hill (High Kelling, Kelling, Bodham, Weybourne). LINGWOOD AND BURLINGHAM – Blofield Road from 200m northwest of its junction with Post Office Road for 50m north westwards to facilitate Anglian Water new connection works from 3rd to 5th November 2025 (may continue until 17th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Chapel Road, Norwich Road, Station Road, School Road, Church Road, Lingwood Road, Heater Lane. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
OVERSTRAND – 1) Pauls Lane from 20m east of its junction with Harbord Road for 80m westwards and 2) Harbord Road from its junction with Pauls Lane for 100m southwards to facilitate gas main upgrade works from 3rd to 14th November 2025 (may continue until 26th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Pauls Lane, Cliff Road, High Street, Cromer Road. The works promoter is Cadent.
SWANNINGTON WITH ALDERFORD – C270 Hall Road from its junction with Reepham Road for 900m to facilitate the removal of a bellmouth entrance in field from 3rd to 9th November 2025 (may continue until 21st December 2025). Alternative route is via: Reepham Road, Alderford Common, Fir Covert Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, A1067 Fakenham Road, Weston Longville Lane, Hall Road (Alderford, Hockering, Morton on the Hill, Weston Longville, Taverham, Swannington, Attlebridge, Great Witchingham). ASHILL –Watton Road from its junction with Firs Park for 100m southwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 3rd to 5th November 2025 (may continue until 17th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Watton Road, Swaffham Road, C768 Swaffham Road, Watton Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
BEESTON ST LAWRENCE – Church Road 120m south of its junction with Hall Road for 80m northwards to facilitate construction access works between 08:00 and 16:00 on the 3rd & 4th November 2025 (may continue until 18th December 2025). Alternative route is via: School Road, Church Road.
BRAMERTON – U78042 Framingham Lane from its junction with C202 The Street for 60m southwards to facilitate UK Power Networks new connection works from 3rd November to 12th November 2025 (may continue until 24th December 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Kirby Road, Mill Lane, Framingham Lane (Kirby Bedon, Bramerton). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.
BURSTON AND SHIMPLING – C341 Audley End from its intersection with the level railroad crossing for 10 metres north westwards and 10 metres south eastwards to facilitate Network Rail track inspection works from 23:00 on the 3rd November to 05:00 on the 4th November 2025 (may continue until 16th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Audley End, Burston Road, Church Road, Broad Way, Back Lane, Shimpling Road, Dickleburgh Road, Pug Street, Station Road, Crown Green, Rectory Road, Audley Close (Dickleburgh and Rushall, Scole, Burston and Shimpling). DISS – Diss Footpath 37 at its intersection with the railway crossing for 20m north westwards and 20m south eastwards to facilitate footcrossing inspection works between 23:00 on 2nd November and 05:00 on 3rd November 2025 (may continue until 15th December 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Network Rail Infrastructure.
FOULDEN – South Road from 175m south of its junction with Vicarage Road for 50m south westwards to facilitate Anglian Water stop tap replacement works from 5th to 8th November 2025 (may continue until 17th December 2025). Alternative route is via: South Road from Foulden to Didlington, White Hart Street. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
HEMPNALL – U6094 Road Green from its junction with B1527 Bungay Road for 50m southwards to facilitate BT pole testing between 09:30 and 15:30 from 3rd to 6th November 2025 (may continue until 18th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Road Green – Silver Green – Alburgh Road – B1527 Bungay Road. The works promoter is Openreach.
LITTLE MELTON – U78135 Braymeadow Lane from its junction with C169 School Lane for 90m southwards to facilitate BDUK cabling work from 3rd November to 14th November 2025 (may continue until 26th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Braymeadow Lane, Colney Lane, Harness Way, Burnthouse Lane, School Lane (Colney, Little Melton, Hethersett). The works promoter is BT.
LODDON – C395 High Bungay Road from its junction with U76333 Low Bungay Road to its junction with C203 Kittens Lane to facilitate signing and lining works on 3rd November 2025 (may continue until 18th December 2025). NORTH TUDDENHAM – 1) U35082 Fox Lane from its junction with U35081 Low Road for 80m northwards and 2) U35081 Low Road from 40m east of its junction with U35082 Fox Lane for 80m westwards to facilitate BT pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 5th November 2025 (may continue until 17th December 2025). Alternative route is via: S 30582 Fox Lane, U5081 Low Road, C198 Lyng Road/Matishall Lane, S3083 Mattishall Lane, S3084 Clippings Green, C211 West End/Mill Road, C489 Main Road and vice versa (Mattishall, North Tuddenham). OVINGTON – A1075 Dereham Road from its junction with 370763 Ovington Footpath 3 for 50m northwards to facilitate works for a new water connection. The Road will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 4th to 26th November 2025 only whilst signs indicate restrictions are in place (may continue until 26th May 2026). NB – These works are taking place in two phases. Phase 1 is anticipated between 4th and 6th November. Phase 2 is anticipated between 24th and 26th November. Alternative route is N/A. REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON – U76598 Jays Green from its junction with U76512 Briar Road for 20m westwards to facilitate new electricity service cable work from 6th to 12th November 2025 (may continue until 23rd December 2025). Alternative route is via: Jays Green, Candlers Lane, Broad Street, Station Road. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.
ROCKLANDS – C158 Mount Pleasant from 210m east of its junction with C133 Attleborough Road for 20m eastwards to facilitate works for a new water connection from 17th to 18th November 2025 (may continue until 22nd December 2025). Alternative route is via: C158 Mount Pleasant, C133 Attleborough Road, B1111 Watton Road, C130 Rockland Road/Brayes Lane, B1073 Brayes Lane, C135 The Street/Mill Lane/Rocklands and vice versa (Shropham, Rocklands, Stow Bedon and Breckles). TIVETSHALL ST MARGARET AND TIVETSHALL ST MARY – U76115 Mill Road from its junction with C362 The Street for 180m westwards to facilitate drainage works from 3rd to 5th November 2025 (may continue until 17th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Stony Road, Grove Road, Gissing Road, The Street (Gissing, Tivetshall). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
WATTON – 1) U33001 Church Road from 32m east of its junction with 3R1142 Watton Footpath 8 for 100m eastwards and 2) U33001 Church Road from 135m east of its junction with 3R1142 Watton Footpath 8 to its junction with 3R1145 Watton RB12 to facilitate installation works for new laybys from 3rd to 14th November 2025 (installation works are in two phases and alternative route is in place only whilst signs indicate closures are in place) (may continue until 26th December 2025). NB – These closures will not be in place at the same time. Road A is anticipated to be closed from 3rd to 10th November, and Road B is anticipated to be closed from 10th to 14th November. WRETHAM – East Wretham Road from 100m west of its junction with Cricket Ground Road for 100m westwards to facilitate safe access for pole testing work between 09:30 and 15:30 on 3rd and 5th November 2025 (may continue until 15th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C107 The Street/Croxton Road, A1066 Mundford Road, A1075 Norwich Road, Thetford Road (Croxton, Wretham, Bridgham, Kilverstone, Thetford, Roudham and Larding). Road 1) will be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (northbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a northerly and southerly direction from 27th to 31st October 2025 (may continue until 12th December 2025).
