Busby, Temporary Road Closure For Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
East Renfrewshire Council (FIELD ROAD & WOODYETT ROAD, BUSBY) TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2025
On the 8 October 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Field Road (from its junction with Woodyett Road up to 100m south from its junction with Birchview Drive) & Woodyett Road, Busby in order to facilitate essential carriageway resurfacing works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried from Monday 19 January to Friday 6 February 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the roads for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
No alternative diversion route exists.
