Merryvale Avenue, Temporary Road Closure For Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
East Renfrewshire Council (MERRYVALE AVENUE, GIFFNOCK) TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2025
On the 21 October 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order authorises to restrict vehicular access on Merryvale Avenue, Giffnock, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works scheduled to be carried from Monday 24 November until Friday 05 December 2025.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Diversion Routes: MERRYVALE PLACE – FENWICK ROAD – MERRYCREST AVENUE – BRAIDHOLM ROAD AND VICE VERSA.
