PUBLIC NOTICE:
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A
THE (RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC/PARKING) SPECIAL EVENTS ORDER 2025
(BOROUGH HIGH STREET SLIP ROAD/ BOROUGH HIGH STREET)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Southwark, and in consultation with Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Traffic Order under section 16 (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.
2. The purpose of the Order is to facilitate The Annual Remembrance Day Service
3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from: (a) entering, exiting or proceeding in (Northbound A3) Borough High Street Slip Road, between the main connecting carriageway of Borough High Street and Southwark Street. (b) stopping in the loading, unloading and disabled persons’ vehicles bays in Borough High Street. between No’s 30 – 34, No’s 60 – 62, No’s 75 – 85, and No’s 107 – 111 (Eastern Leg) between 10:00am – 12:00pm (c) stopping in the solo motorcycle bays located in Borough High Street (Slip Road) between No’s 54 – 58 (Western Leg) between 10:00am – 12:00pm
4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of: (a) any vehicle being used for the purposes of this event or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by the London Borough of Southwark. (c) The Order will be effective on Sunday 9th November between the hours of 10:00am – 12:00pm
5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force, the alternative route for affected traffic will be adjacent roads as applicable.
