(City Wide Order) 2025 – Experimental Amendment Order No.12 2025
Prohibition Of All Vehicles (Friday to Sunday, 8.00pm - 5.00am) – Call Lane, Leeds
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as Local Traffic Authority (and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) has today made the above Experimental Traffic Regulation Order. The effect of the Experimental Order which comes into force on the Friday 31 October 2025 (and which will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months) is to introduce a Prohibition of All Vehicles on Call Lane, between its junctions with Duncan Street and The Calls, from 8:00pm to 5:00am (Friday to Sunday inclusive). The Council’s Chief Officer (Highways and Transportation) may under Section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 modify or suspend the operation of the Experimental Order or any of their provisions if it appears to him to be essential. The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued indefinitely. Full details in the form of the made Experimental Order together with plans showing the affected lengths of highway and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for the Order are available on request by e-mailing the address below. If you wish to object to or make representations concerning the making of the Experimental Order for the purpose of indefinite continuation, you should write to City Development, Merrion House, Leeds LS2 8LX or e-mail troteam@leeds.gov.uk specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made by not later than 1 May 2026 quoting reference: EXP Call Lane. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Experimental Order or any of their provisions on the grounds that it is within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may within six weeks from the date of this Notice apply for that purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority (and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 81, 84, 85, 87, 89, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) proposes to make the above Orders, the effect of which will be to introduce: 1. No Waiting at any Time on sections of, Bodington Ave; Clapham Ave, East Moor La, Otley Road & Sir George Martin Dr Adel; and also on sections of Chevin Le & Pool Rd, Wharfedale. 2. No Waiting between 8.00am and 6.00pm (Mon to Fri) on Pool Rd, Wharfedale (SE side); from a point 24.5m east of its junction with Chevin Lane, for 134.5m in an easterly direction. 3. On Street Time Limited Parking between 8.00am and 6.00pm (Mon to Sat – 2 Hours no return with 2 hours) on Sir George Martin Dr, Adel (NW side); from a point 56m north of its junction with Wayland App, in a northerly direction for 23m. 4. A Prohibition of All Vehicles (Except Pedal Cycles) on Holt Lane, Adel; from a point 75m east of its junction with Cookridge La, to a point 13m NW of its junction with Holt Park Rd. 5. A Prohibited Right Turn onto Sir George Martin Dr, from the existing junction of its eastern spur. 6. A One-Way Restriction (North to South) on the whole eastern spur Sir George Martin Dr, beginning at its junction with East Moor Lane and continuing in a southerly direction for its full extent. 7. A 20mph Speed Limit on Sir George Martin Dr; from a point 30m north of its junction with Mulberry Avenue in a generally northerly direction, to a point 15 metres north of its junction with Derwent Dr. 8. A 30mph Speed Limit on Holt La, Adel; from its junction with Cookridge La for a distance of 75m in an easterly direction; and also from a point 13 metres NW of its junction with Holt Park Rd, in a SE direction to its junction with Holt Park Cl. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, proposes to make the above Order, the effect of which will be within the Rothwell Ward to introduce: 1. No Waiting at any Time on Footways or Grass Verges along Little Woodhouse St, Woodhouse (NW side); from its junction with Clarendon Rd, for a distance of 41m in a NE direction.
2. No Waiting, Loading or Unloading at any Time on Little Woodhouse St, Woodhouse (both sides); from its junction with Clarendon Rd to its junction with Chorley La. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53 & 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, has today made the above Order. If you wish to object to or question the validity of the Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
