What is happening?
BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL
RINGWOOD, DORCHESTER AND OLD WAREHAM ROADS – HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN (phased road closures):
Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time
Ringwood Road from its junction with Herbert Avenue to its junction with Alderney Avenue, including side road closures of Broom Road and Alderney Hospital Road at their junctions with Ringwood Road.
Anticipated dates: 16 February to 6 March 2026 from 19:00 to 00:00
Dorchester Road from its junction with Ringwood Road to its junction with Pound Lane, including the side road closure of Foxholes Road at its junction with Dorchester Road.
Anticipated dates: 17 to 21 November 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
Old Wareham Road from approx 5m west to 20m east of Fancy Road including the side road closure of Fancy Road.
Anticipated dates: 1 April to 3 April from 19:00 to 00:00
WHY: Highway improvement works by BCP Council
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.
DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
