How Mill, Brampton - Temporary Road Closure due to Level Crossing Works
What is happening?

ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable level crossing works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C1035 How Mill, for a distance of approximately 30m either side of the centre line of How Mill Level Crossing.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the C1035, Faugh, C1026, Heads Nook, U1195, U1196, Fenton and U1197.

The Order will come into operation on 8 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 night between 2330 and 0845 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
