Bootle, Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles For Pole Installation Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4276, ROAD LEADING TO HYTON AND ANNASIDE, NEAR BOOTLE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable pole installation works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U4276, road leading to Hyton and Annaside, near Bootle, from its junction with the C4027 Church Lane, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 2.4km
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 12 November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 14 days, between 0800 and 1800 hours, each day, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
